Nallur, Jaffna, Sri Lanka - February 17, 2017: The corridor entrance into the atrium of the Nallur Kandaswamy Hindu temple in Jaffa district, Sri Lanka. The presiding deity is Lord Murugan. While the original temple was founded in 948, there have been numerous additions including as recently as 2015. The temple is a socially important institution for the Sri Lankan Tamils Hindu identity of north Sri Lanka as Sri Lanka is a majority Buddhist nation with Hindus forming a large minority. Faithful worshippers are seen walking barefoot inside the temple.

A practising aficionado of black and white photography in my youth, I revived my interest in photography a few years ago. My photographs reflect a curiosity to see the world and reflect it through the unique prism of my own life experiences. I have lived and worked in Pakistan, Singapore, Dubai, Los Angeles and London.
