Description
Pattani, Thailand - May 7, 2017: An ornate fountain beside the Pattani Central Mosque in the southern Thai city of Pattani. The mosque is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The side building contains public toilets. The mosque was completed in 1963 after a nine years construction period. The design is loosely based on the Mogul architecture of the Taj Mahal in Agra, India. Pattani province in Thailand's deep south is a majority Muslim province with almost ninety percent of the population practicing Islam.
