Tbilisi, Georgia - May 18, 2018: The Freedom Monument - also known as tavisuplebis monument - commonly known as the St. George Statue, is a memorial located in Tbilisi, Georgia, dedicated to the freedom and independence of the Georgian nation. The monument was unveiled in 2006 in Tbilisi's central square and is made of granite and gold. It is 35 meters high. The St George statue is made of bronze and covered with gold was created by Georgian sculptor Zurab Tsereteli.
