Singapore - June 13, 2013: A reflection in a mirror of a Singaporean Chinese street side barber as he cuts a customer's hair at a make shift stall in Chinatown. Until a few decades ago, traditional occupations such as street side barbers were common in Singapore. However, with increasing wealth, urbanization and education levels such trades are fast disappearing as the younger generation aspires towards higher paying jobs in a modern economy.

A practising aficionado of black and white photography in my youth, I revived my interest in photography a few years ago. My photographs reflect a curiosity to see the world and reflect it through the unique prism of my own life experiences. I have lived and worked in Pakistan, Singapore, Dubai, Los Angeles and London. Presently, I live and work in Singapore where I am a tour guide and business consultant. My images do not belong to the public domain. All rights reserved.
