Description
Kuching, Malaysia - October 10, 2018: The Astana was built in 1870 by Charles Brooke (the second “White Rajah” of Sarawak) as a bridal gift to his wife, Margaret Alice Lili de Windt. Today, it is the official residence of the Governor of Sarawak. The palace is not normally open to the public, although the landscaped gardens are, which can be reach by a boat ride across the Sarawak River.
