Description
Khaplu, Pakistan - October 3, 2016: A royal meeting room with wide open windows and carved wooden arches at the restored historic Khaplu Palace. The palace was built in the mid-19th century and served as a royal residence for the Raja of Khaplu. After restoration, today it serves as a hotel and also houses a local museum. Khaplu town in east Baltistan at an altitude of 2,600 metres (8,500 ft). River Shyok a tributary of River Indus, passes through the town.
